Adéquat is a translation firm in business since 1993. While Adéquat focuses primarily on translation from English into French, from French into English, and from both English and French into Spanish, we also offer Website, Web applications and software localization, revision, proofreading, and consulting services.
Our staff includes managers, project leaders, translators, and revisers, most of whom are certified members of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ), the provincial body governing certified translators, terminologists, and interpreters.
Driving values
Our objective is to provide not only accurate but also effective translation - that is, our objective is to ensure that the message and intent (not the words) of the source text are translated appropriately into the target language. We understand that the nuance of language can make or break a business relationship in today's global village where expectations are high, but time is often short.
Language is the tool with which we build cross-cultural communication for our clients and their customers, employees and prospects. We take this responsibility seriously and gain satisfaction from knowing that our work enables businesses of all sizes to communicate effectively with individuals who do not speak the same language.

Our team
Adéquat’s principals are Certified Translators (C. Tr.) and members of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ) and The Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC). We draw our freelance and contract translators from among the membership of these two internationally recognized organizations, as well as from among senior students enrolled in university degree and diploma translation programs as appropriate.
